Terry “LT” Green

Terry “LT” Green, a Georgia native born and raised is an active performing and recording drummer in the Phoenix area. At the age of two he began his musical journey as one of the drummers at his local church. His love for music evolved from his parents Terry & Cathy Green who were also musicians. Through the beginning of Terry’s career he began his musical studies as a Percussionist where he learned to read, sight read, write, and teach music to fellow musician. From grade Sixth to after College Terry has had the training and teachings of many musical influences as: Mr. Leon Anderson mentor and professor at (Florida State University), and the late GREAT Mr. Ndugu Chancler. Terry has achieved many awards through The Georgia Music Educators Association (G.M.E.A.) through State and All State Woodwind, Brass, and Jazz Ensemble as a first chair principal player. Also Terry has had the opportunity to attend the Jazz nationals convention where he had the opportunity to play along side Mr. Victor Goines professional Saxophonist and Clarinetist for Lincoln Center Orchestra in NY. Through the years of his church background Terry has had the opportunity to play behind many Gospel greats to name a few Beverly Crawford, and Duranice Pace. In 2012 Terry relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where he has taken his playing to the next level! Under great influence he has gone back to his roots of reading and sight reading music along with music improvisation by working with some great musicians from all over the world and locally! Terry currently works in the Smooth Jazz arena covering tunes from Eric Benet, Joe Sample, The YellowJackets, Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber, and Chuck Loeb as well as Straight Ahead, Fusion, and Spiritual Jazz! Terry has had the opportunity to record live on the most recent album The Geibral Elisha Movement a local Spiritual Jazz and Fusion Band. Throughout his career, Terry has gained many friends, musical influence, and continues to work daily to become better in his craft and life endeavors. Terry, who is also an organist and pedal steel guitar player lives by the teachings of his parents whom has always taught him that “Your Gift Will Make Room”
