Robert K Scott Jr.

Robert Keith Scott Jr. is a drummer based primarily in the northern CA region. As a child, he described himself as “musically ambitious,” and recalls composing beats on pots and pans at the age of three. He lived with his grandparents for a time in Seaside, CA, and has lived in Oklahoma, Georgia and Colorado. Once settling in CA for good, he started playing drums in church regularly. Eventually he caught the attention of local gospel artist Dr. Darlene “Gobie” Cooper, and played for her as she traveled across Northern CA. As a professional, he’s also played for other artists such as Dr. Kathy Alexander, Evangelist Quinton Kelly, Freda Mitchell, The Lady Jaz Project, Dove Award winner Lady Tramaine Hawkins. He’s also played for local R&B artists such as the “New Prince of Soul” Rashaad, Kumandae Miller, Ayanna Charlene, jazz singer Jackie Bryant, and most recently Chico DeBarge amongst many. He’s also been known to play other genres such as R&B/Fusion, jazz, gospel, alternative, hard rock, and many others.
