Julio was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 22nd, January, 1989. He started playing drums when he was 15 years old, and later chose to be a musician and audio producer. Julio started playing blues and Classic Rock in drums, mainly Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, joining his father in jams. His most influential musicians are Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Bill Ward (Black Sabbath) and Ricardo Confessori (Angra). Started his drum lessons with Rodney Morelli, in Petrópolis/RJ, Brazil, and 4 years later had some lessons with Roberto Rutigliano, who thaught him more about brazilian styles and some other latin styles, mainly Latin Jazz. Six months after he started playing the drums, Julio founded Rat Salad (Black Sabbath cover), his first band, that still performs frequently. After many live performances and studio recordings through the years, Julio joined Syren band in 2012. Since he joined, Julio has performed in many live shows, recorded a disc (coming out this year), released a video clip and, more recently, the official Syrens beer, with an internet commercial. Julio and Syren are now preparing for many international tours through next years, starting in September, 2014, with the Heavy Metal Tour, in Colombia.
